It seems to be that time of year again which finds me at my birthday. I really hadn’t had anything in mind to do so my bedmate and I had a nice lunch out and a quite evening at home. You would have thought I could have found something on a Monday night to get into but honestly something low key was perfect. I did have one of the best birthday cakes I’ve had in a while. I had been wanting this cake for many years and finally we found it, Chocolate Raspberry Torte cake. My bedmate says I have great taste because on my birthday we always get several little pastries or specialty sweet items to try. It’s always something different but something I rarely get for myself. Birthdays are supposed to be that way. All and all it was a nice day taken at a slow pace filled with many birthday wishes from around the world, special gifts, and phone calls.
I find I’m looking forward to the weekend. It seems the birthday partying is coming two fold. I have friends I haven’t seen in several years going to be in town and we are grabbing a bite to catch up. I actually think I’m a bit more excited about that than I was my actual birthday. I’m hoping there will be more to tell.
A Sigmund update: He has been loosing his teeth left and right and now I know why people look like they are run ragged with two years olds. I can’t say I’m looking to have kids anytime soon! Sigmund is in his adolescence phase and I’m hoping we can both survive it.
