From time to time I get reminded why I rarely interact within the swing lifestyle. Most people aren’t mature enough to handle the relationships it creates. Friends of mine are come into town next weekend for Memorial Day and have been calling their friends to invite them to a party they are throwing. In the midst of phone calls a whole slew of drama begins to unfold as to if so and so is coming than I won’t be there type of drama. Past partners are in tiffs and don’t want to socialize with each other, some just have unknown beef with others, some don’t like other people, you get the drift. My question is… If you are going to a mutual friends party why can’t you all behave like adults and enjoy the time still being polite to those you don’t care for? I do it all the time. I don’t care for everybody but I can be civil the small amount of time I’m around them. Instead people make a big ordeal out of it. My resolve… you don’t have to show up if you can’t act your age!
