After having one of the strangest Christmas nights I don’t care to ever repeat at any point in time let alone a holiday I decided my best and safest option was to stay home with family this New Year’s Eve. I know it doesn’t sound like much of a good time and perhaps I’m a bit lacking as a party animal this year but having a nice and relaxing evening with my bedmate and my puppy sounds perfect. After the rush of the holidays, still dealing with computer/technical issues, and running in three different directions at once by bedmate and I decided to have an evening of appetizers, popcorn, movies, and sparkling cider to bring in the new year. I’m sure the plethora of Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban whiskey, the half full bottle of Cabernet wine, and the Van Gogh double espresso vodka will be sure to warm the night. Sigmund has his own New Year’s treats, Blue Buffalo Santa Snacks, as I’m sure he will be snuggled on the couch with us this cold Texas night. The only thing that would bring more satisfaction to this evening would be if my boyfriend, Wes, was celebrating the New Year with us. I don’t know very many people my age or near that would think spending a New Year’s Eve at home having finger foods, drinks, and movies sounds like fun but he definitely would. So I hope that you and yours are having exactly the type of New Year’s Eve celebration you want and that wherever this evening ends you up you are safe, with friends and/or family, and having a fantastic time.
