Fourth of July

Fourth of July
It was on the Fourth of July that K wanted to introduce me to her parents. Her entire extended family would be present—grandparents, cousins, siblings. I was a nervous wreck driving over to their house. What if these people were my future in-laws? She answered the front door dressed in a bikini, looking smoking hot, and kissed me. After a short tour of the house, I changed clothes and the two of us walked outside in our bikinis towards the pool. All eyes fell upon us. I was amused that I was meeting her family for the first time essentially in my underwear. She introduced me as her girlfriend to everyone one by one, and we shook hands. Her mom was beautiful, I thought, elegantly sunbathing on a chair and her dad was a friendly, gregarious man cracking jokes at the grill. I wanted her parents to tell that I was crazy about their daughter, and her grandfather made small talk with me, patting me on the back. We decided to get into the pool. The water was refreshingly warm, and the blue Texas sky felt perfect to be under on this summer afternoon. Linking arms, K and I floated through the water, as if we were two fish in the ocean, carefree, with not a worry in the world. She was tan from sitting out in the sun, and freckles showed on my shoulders and face. I held onto her, peering at the view of the expansive lake in the distance. We stopped at the deep end wall to rest and she kissed me, her arm moving around my waist in the water. I froze for a moment, not accustomed to the openness she had with her family. Kissing in front of her eighty year old grandparents and her mom facing us? My parents weren’t even at the place of acceptance with me. Her bikini had straps that tied around the top of her neck and I imagined untying the knot now and doing bad acts to her. “I think I could go for a beer,” I told her, with a wink. “That’s a great idea,” she agreed, understanding that ‘a beer’ was a code word with me. We toweled off on the concrete, the heat quickly evaporating the wetness from our bikinis, and she followed me into the house and to her bedroom. We attacked each other behind the closed, locked door, while her family swam outside in the back yard, and I untied her top. Our bikini tops and bottoms fell into a tangled mess at our feet within seconds. Totally naked, she pushed me belly first onto her soft queen-size bed, kissing my neck, my back, squeezing my ass cheeks, and entering me for a few seconds with her fingers.  I gasped and rolled around to face her on top of me, breathing in the sweet scent of her suntan lotion, making out the geography of tan lines on her body, white triangles over her breasts and straight lines across her back. I massaged her breasts and she moved fiercely against me, letting me feel how turned on she was, driving me wild, and it was a good thing I had gotten her out of her bikini. We suddenly detected footsteps in the hallway next to the bedroom door and became still and silent, waiting, wondering, our heartbeats quickening. She kneeled quietly at the edge of the bed, parted my thighs, and started going down on me. Her tongue moved slowly and artfully in wide strokes for five minutes then she teased me with her fingers. I felt her hand covering my mouth as she made me my entire being shake in a series of fireworks on her bed. Coming back to full consciousness and not wanting her family to get suspicious about her new girlfriend, we changed into our bikinis and rejoined everyone outside with beers, acting calm and collected, with not a hair out of place.
